Support Pillars Data Editor
This page explains how to use the support pillar data editor. The data editor page is shown on the
left side of the dialog window. This page on the tab control allows you to edit existing support pillar
records or add new support pillar records to the data base.
The data editor works in three modes.
1) View Mode
You can only view the record. All of the edit controls are locked. If you use the controls on the
right side of the dialog to select a different pillar the data on the editor page will be updated.
2) Edit Mode
You are allowed to make changes to an existing record. To open the edit mode click the edit button.
when this button is press the edit controls will be unlock and you be able to change the record set,
When you have completed your changes click the save button the save the changes to the data base file.
Please note that you can not change the pillar diameter when you are in the edit mode. for a pillar
with a different diameter you must use the add new mode to create a new record set.
3) Add New Mode
You are allowed to create a new support pillar record set. To open the data editor in the new record mode
press the new button then fill in the data fields. Do not leave any data fields empty. You may enter zero
for the chamfer lengths and chamfer angles. when you have fill in all the data fields press the save button
to save the record to the data base.
New Pillar Lengths
If the pillar length you need is not in the data base you can add new lengths as needed. To enter a new length
click the New command button to unlock the edit controls. In the new length edit box enter the length you require
then press the Add Length command button.
