The Dialog Window shown below is used to create Shoulder Leader Pins.
SoftMold allows you to create Shoulder Leader Pins in any construction plane.
The insertion position of the leader pin is on the center line at the top of the pin head.
The Leader Pins is drawn in the Z negative direction relative to the current construction plane.

Creating a Shoulder Leader Pin
To the right side of the dialog are the list controls for the Shoulder Leader Pin
Dialog Window. You will use these controls to tell SoftMold what leader pin to create.
You should use these control in a top to bottom manner starting with the Supplier List Control.
When the Dialog Window opens the Data base file is scanned and the names of all the suppliers
that have Shoulder Leader Pins on file are loaded into the Supplier List Control.
The Supplier List Control is then set to the first supplier in the list.
The Catalog Number Control is then loaded and set to the first item in the list and all other controls
and displays are set to the appropriate values.
The number of supplier present is dependent on the data base version.
To Create Shoulder Leader Pins follow the steps listed below.
Click the Suppler List Control and select one of the suppliers listed there.
When you select a supplier the other controls are loaded with the appropriate values.
Selecting a Pin
You may select a pin by one of two methods.
Method One
If you happen to know the catalog number you can select it using the Catalog Number control.
When you select an item all of the other controls and data display are set to the appropriate
values and you are ready to create a pin.
Method Two
Select the Nominal Diameter of the pin. When you make a selection the
Shoulder Length and Pin Length control are filled with the
available lengths for the selected size.
Select the shoulder length of the pin from the Shoulder Length control.
When you select an item the Pin Length Control is fill available lengths
for the selected size.
Selecting the pin length
Use the Pin Length Control and select the pin length.
Select the drawing style
Use the drawing style list control and select one of the available drawing styles.

Pressing the 'OK' Button
When you press the 'OK" button the dialog window will close
and KeyCreator's 'Position Menu' ( shown below ) will appear.
Use the Position Menu to select where to create the leader pin.
Each time you select a position a pin will be created at that position.
Pressing the ESC key will end the creation routine and return you to Keycreator.
Shoulder Leader Pins Drawing Styles
Below is a listing of the different drawing styles that are available.
Each of the different styles is explained below.
Simple Style
The Shoulder Leader Pin shown to the left is drawn in the simple style. There are no cosmetic
fillets and the pin is drawn at the nominal size.
Detailed Style
The Shoulder Leader Pin shown to the left is drawn in the Detailed style. There are cosmetic fillets
on the end and head of the pain. The pin is created at the nominal sizes.
Complex Style
The Shoulder Leader Pin shown to the left appears the same as the Shoulder Leader Pin
drawn in the Detailed Style however this pin is created using the actual pin sizes
( 1 inch Pin is created at .999 ).
