The dialog window below is used to create standard sprue bushings.
This dialog is used in the same manner as other dialog windows in SoftMold.

Using the Dialog
Select the Units
Use the unit control to select inch units or millimeter units.
SoftMold allows you to create inch based components in a millimeter base
drawing or millimeter components in an inch based drawing. The first time
you used this function in any session the unit value of the active document
is retrieved and the function is setup based on the active documents units.
If you return to the function latter in the session the function is setup based
on the last values you selected. The function remembers where you where.
Supplier Control
Use the Supplier List Control to select a supplier.
The number of available suppliers is dependent on the version of the data base
file you are using. For information about data base updates visit SoftMold.Com.
Bushing Type List Control
Once you have selected a supplier, the Bushing Type List Control is loaded
with the available choices. Use this control to select the type of bushing
to create. When you make a selection using one of these controls the
Catalog Number Control is loaded and set to the first item in the control.
Selecting the Bushing
You may select the bushing by one of three manners as listed below.
1) Use the Catalog Number Control and select the bushing by it's catalog number.
2) Use the Neck Length Control and select the bushing by the neck length you require.
3) Use the Overall Length Control and select the bushing by it's overall length.
When you make a selection in one of these controls the other list controls
are set to the appropriate values for the selected bushing.
Pressing the 'OK' Button
At this point you have completed selecting the Sprue Bushing to create.
When you press the 'OK" button the dialog window will close and
KeyCreator's 'Position Menu' ( shown below ) will appear.
Use the 'Position Menu' to select where to create the Sprue Bushing.
When you select a position a Sprue Bushing will be created at that point.
The Sprue Bushing is created in the Z positive direction relative
to the current construction plane.
The insertion point for the bushing is on the center line at the bottom of the bushing.
After the bushing is created you will be returned to KeyCreator.
