This dialog window to create Standard Locating Rings. This function works in
both inch and millimeter units. See the instructions below for information about
using this dialog window
Use the dialog in the following manner.
Select the Units
Use the unit control to select inch units or millimeter units.
SoftMold allows you to create inch based components in a millimeter base
drawing or millimeter components in an inch based drawing. The first time
you used this function in any session the unit value of the active document
is retrieved and the function is setup based on the active documents units.
If you return to the function latter in the session the function is setup based
on the last values you selected. The function remembers where you where.
Select the Supplier
Use the Supplier Control to select a supplier. One number of suppliers that
are available will varies based on the version of SoftMold Solids that you are using.
When you select a supplier the Catalog Number Control is loaded with the available
types and it is set to the first item in the list.
Catalog Number Control
Use the Catalog Number Control to select the type of locating ring to create.
Rotation
You may rotate the locating ring by clicking the rotation check box and
entering a rotation value in the edit control. The rotation value may be a
positive or negative value.
The 'OK' Button
At this point you have completed selecting the Locating Ring to create.
When you press the 'OK" button the dialog window will close and Keycreator's
'Position Menu' ( shown below ) will appear. Use the 'Position Menu' to select
where to create the Locating Ring. When you select a position a Locating Ring
will be created at that position. The Locating Ring is created in the Z positive
direction relative to the current construction plane. The insertion point for
the Locating Ring is on the center line at the bottom of the Locating Ring.
After the Locating Ring is created you will be returned to Keycreator.
